Fall 2025 leaned long without committing to it, gowns outnumbering cocktail dresses but not by much.

The shapes

Fitted led by a wide margin, with A-line and ball gown some way behind and mermaid rare. Strapless was the neckline of the season, keyholes and V necks next, with off-the-shoulder and halters in smaller numbers. Slits and corset bodices came through in almost equal measure.

Fabric and finish

Lace led, then chiffon, satin and stretch fabrics, with sequin and taffeta on the more structured styles. Ruffles, beadwork and prints carried the decoration in near-equal measure, and hot fix stones and bows recurred throughout.

Colour

Red and black led, with light blue, royal, navy and ivory behind them.
