The Brand
For nearly two decades, Sherri Hill has designed for the moments worth dressing up for. What began as one designer’s vision has grown into a global name in formal wear — the gown remembered from prom, the dress on the pageant stage, the look that lands on the red carpet.
Sherri Hill launched her namesake label in 2008 alongside her family, drawing on years spent mastering the craft of evening wear. Recognition came quickly: as Miss USA, Miss Universe, and Miss America contestants took the stage — and the crown — in her gowns, the brand became a fixture of the pageant world and far beyond.
Today Sherri Hill is one of the defining names in formal wear — a mainstay of prom and pageant seasons and a fixture on the red carpet, worn by a generation of stars including Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, Zendaya, Vanessa Hudgens, Paris Hilton, and Carrie Underwood. The brand is carried in a network of specialty boutiques across 52 countries, where the fitting-room experience — the try-on, the alteration, the moment you find the dress — remains at the heart of how a Sherri Hill gown is found.
Every design begins with a single idea: the right dress should make you feel unmistakably yourself. Each piece is cut to flatter and built to move — fashion-forward silhouettes, intricate beadwork, and fabrics chosen for the way they catch the light. From prom and homecoming to cocktail, couture, bridal, and evening, the collections are made for the occasions you’ll never forget.
Sherri Hill made her New York Fashion Week debut in 2011 and has returned season after season since. Her runway has been an early stage for models who went on to become household names — both Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin walked their first New York Fashion Week shows for the brand. Each show previews the designs that go on to define the year ahead, from the pageant stage to the prom feeds that shape each season’s trends.
Sherri Hill relocated her headquarters to Austin, Texas in 2012, and the brand continues to design from there alongside a studio and showroom in Atlanta — still a family business at heart, still designing for the next unforgettable moment.
