Spring 2025 was a gown season almost without exception. The slit was its defining line, running through more of the collection than any other single detail.
Silhouette and neckline
Fitted led comfortably, with ball gown and A-line behind and mermaid in smaller numbers. Strapless was the most common neckline, though halters, V necks and keyholes all had a real presence. Corset bodices and ruffles ran through the season, and bows turned up repeatedly.
Fabric and finish
Lace was well ahead of everything else, then satin, stretch fabrics, sequin and taffeta. Beadwork carried much of the decoration, with hot fix stones on the lighter-handed styles.
Colour
Black and red were near-equal at the top, with light blue, ivory and royal behind them, and emerald a real presence at the darker end.
