The portrait neckline sits off the shoulder and frames the collarbone, and it is the line this collection is built around.

The shapes

Off-the-shoulder is on the large majority of these styles, with the sweetheart neckline behind it. A-line and ball gown lead the cuts, with fitted styles after them, and gowns outnumber cocktail dresses by roughly three to one.

Fabric and finish

Lace leads, then tulle, stretch fabrics, sequin and satin. Slits run through a good number of the skirts, and beadwork, ruching and corset bodices carry most of the structure and decoration.

Colour

Black leads, with ivory and red close behind, then navy and light blue, and blush at the softer end.
