Fall 2024 divided between gowns and cocktail dresses, with the long styles ahead but the short ones a substantial part of the season.

The shapes

Fitted led, ball gowns next, with A-line and mermaid in smaller numbers. Strapless was well ahead as a neckline, then V necks, halters and keyholes. Corset bodices and slits came through in equal measure, and ruffles were a constant.

Fabric and finish

Lace led by a distance, with sequin, taffeta and tulle behind it and satin and stretch fabrics through the fitted styles. Beadwork did most of the decorative work, with hot fix stones, ruching and bows recurring.

Colour

Black and red led together, with ivory, royal, light blue and navy behind.
