Silhouette and neckline
Fitted led, with ball gowns behind and mermaid in smaller numbers, and the cape was a genuine part of the range rather than an occasional piece. One-shoulder was the most common neckline, just ahead of strapless, with V necks, off-the-shoulder and illusion panels behind. The slit ran through more of this season than any other detail.
Fabric and finish
Lace and sequin were almost level at the top, an unusually even split, with tulle, jersey, scuba and velvet behind them. Beadwork was heavy through the collection, corset bodices and lace-up backs were common, and feathers appeared on a real number of styles.
Colour
Black and red led together, with light blue and ivory close behind and royal and navy after them.
